The New England Board of Higher Education is pleased to announce the NEBHE-Chinese Government Scholarship, a timely opportunity for New England college and university students.
Through NEBHE, qualified New England students may be eligible to study at a Chinese university and receive a full scholarship. The scholarships are provided by the Chinese government and will cover tuition and fees for scholarship recipients at hundreds of Chinese institutions. Students are able to enroll in classes taught in either English or Chinese, as well as in preparatory Chinese language classes. Up to 12 full scholarships will be available for New England residents each year.
The scholarships will be competitively awarded to students from New England who are non-Chinese citizens. Scholarships can be used for varying durations of study: from one year to five years. Short-term scholarships will fund one to two years of study to students who have completed two years of undergraduate study. Long-term scholarships are available for students to pursue a full undergraduate, master’s or doctoral degree program.

Students are encouraged to begin compiling application materials for 2019-20 scholarships now. The application submission process will begin later this month.
