Syracuse University fundraising expert Elizabeth “Lil” Breul O’Rourke was named president of the University of Rhode Island Foundation.
Michael Gargano, former provost of the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities system, was named president of St. Vincent’s College in Bridgeport, Conn.
Colleen Fitzpatrick, an assistant vice president at Duke University, was named vice president for advancement at Middlebury College. Karen L. Miller, special advisor to the president at Morehouse College, was named vice president for human resources and risk at Middlebury.
Mary Jo Meisner stepped down from her post as vice president for communications, community relations and public policy with the Boston Foundation. Meisner joined the foundation in 2001 after serving as editor of Community Newspaper Co., with its chain of more than 80 local newspapers, mostly weeklies.
