Moloney Appointed First Woman Chancellor of UMass Lowell

The University of Massachusetts Board of Trustees appointed UMass-Lowell executive vice chancellor and alumna Jacqueline Moloney to be the first female chancellor in the 121-year history of UMass Lowell and its preceding institutions. She succeeds Martin Meehan, a former U.S. congressman, who began as president of the UMass system on July 1.

Scripps College Vice President for Business Affairs and Treasurer Donna Ng was named senior vice president for finance and administration at Simmons College. She previously held positions at Wellesley College and Babson College.

Greg Nadeau, a former adviser to U.S. Sen. Angus King (I-ME) when King was Maine’s governor, was confirmed to lead the Federal Highway Administration.
