Denise Forte
The Education Trust’s Board of Directors named Denise Forte, currently the national organization’s senior vice president for partnerships and engagement, to serve as interim CEO, while John B. King Jr., the group’s current president and former U.S. secretary of education, pursues a gubernatorial bid in the state of Maryland.
Western New England University (WNEU) appointed Lasell University Vice President for Finance and CFO Basil Andrew Stewart, who is also CFO of Lasell Village in Newton, Mass, to be CFO at WNEU in Springfield, Mass., succeeding retiring Vice President for Finance and Administration Richard Wagner.
Springfield College appointed three new senior administrators. Slandie Dieujuste, currently vice provost for student affairs and dean of students at Massasoit Community College, was hired as the vice president for student affairs. Beth Zapatka, currently associate dean for development and alumni affairs at Yale School of Nursing, was hired as vice president for institutional advancement. William Guerrero, currently vice president for finance and administration at Ithaca College, joined Springfield College as vice president for finance and administration.
Gail E. Gasparich, dean of the College of Arts and Sciences at Salem State University, was named the next provost and vice president for academic affairs at Millersville University, one of 14 universities in the Pennsylvania State System of Higher Education.
