Carbonite CEO Mohamad Ali, a key member of NEBHE’s Commission on Higher Education & Employability, stepped down as CEO and board member of the Boston-based data protection company to lead International Data Group, a technology media, events and research company.
Angela M. Salas, former associate vice chancellor for academic affairs at Indiana University Southeast, began in June as provost and vice president for academic affairs at Framingham State University, succeeding Provost Linda Vaden-Goad, who retired.
Andrew A. Workman, former interim president of Roger Williams University, began in July as provost of Widener University in Pennsylvania.
Springfield College appointed attorney Linda Morgan to be its vice president and general counsel. Morgan has served as associate dean for gender equity at Bard College and a grant administrator in the School of Medicine at the University of Maryland.
The University of Saint Joseph announced that Isaac Gottesman, book review editor for History of Education Quarterly and former faculty advisor for the Journal of Critical Thought & Praxis at Iowa State University, will be the West Hartford, Conn. university’s new chair of education.
