On Sept. 27, NEBHE convened members of the Commission on Higher Education & Employability at the Boston headquarters of Carbonite, whose founder and CEO Mohamad Ali is a member of the Commission.
Working groups explored: Planning, Advising and Career Services; Work-integrated, Cooperative and Internship-based Learning; and Emerging Credentials and Credentialing Systems.
Special sessions included an analysis by Sean Gallagher, executive director of Northeastern University’s Center for the Future of Higher Education, on Trends in the Postsecondary Credential Landscape: Imagining the Future and their Role in Employability, as well as a panel on The Education Pipeline: P-16’s School to Career Initiatives.
