The New England Prison Education Collaborative seeks to strengthen higher education in prisons across the region through three interrelated workstreams: (1) State Strategic Planning; (2) Higher Education Engagement Initiatives; and (3) Data and Research. These efforts aim to expand access to high-quality higher education for incarcerated learners in New England following the July 2023 Pell Grant reinstatement.
NEPEC will host quarterly workshops to support all involved stakeholders. In order to be responsive to the needs of all, topics will be selected collaboratively, and the workshops will be open to the public.
