Rhode Island’s Council on Postsecondary Education appointed Meghan L. Hughes, former leader of Year Up Providence, to be the next president of the Community College of Rhode Island.
Tunxis Community College Dean of Academic Affairs Michael Rooke became president of Northwestern Connecticut Community College, succeeding Barbara Douglass who retired.
The Maine Center for Public Interest Reporting named journalist Jack Beaudoin to be its new publisher and senior reporter. Beaudoin is the founding editor and CEO of New Gloucester, Maine-based HIMSS Media and former editorial page editor for the Kennebec Journal and Morning Sentinel, editorial writer and statehouse reporter for the Portland Press Herald, and reporter for The Journal Tribune in Biddeford.
