Spaulding
Vermont State Colleges Chancellor Jeb Spaulding announced he’d submit his resignation from the post on Wednesday after a backlash over his recommendation to close three state college campuses. A NEBHE delegate at various points in his career, Spaulding has served as state treasurer, secretary of administration for Gov. Peter Shumlin and the chair of the state Senate Appropriations Committee. He recently authored the NEJHE piece Lyndon, Johnson Will Seek and Accept a New Term as Northern Vermont University.
The Boston Architectural College appointed Victoria Liptak, former chief academic officer at Kendall College of Art and Design at Michigan’s Ferris State University, as its new vice president for academic affairs, and Sydney Leo, who formerly held executive positions at the global accounting firm BDO USA, LLP and at Fisk University and Hartwick College, as the architectural college’s new vice president of finance and administration.
