Schott to Leave UMPI; Vt Smiths Change Roles

University of Maine at Presque Isle President Linda Schott accepted an offer to serve as president of Southern Oregon University. Schott began her service in UMPI in 2012. NEBHE recognized UMPI’s achievements in personalized education with its 2016 Maine State Merit Award.

appointed Orkand Endowed Chair and Professor of Innovative Practices in Higher Education at University of Maryland University College. Peter Smith wrote for

Clark University appointed Frances “Francy” M. Magee, most recently dean for campus life at the New York Institute of Technology, to be the Worcester university’s assistant provost and dean of students.
