Roger Williams University President Donald Farish passed away after a sudden illness. University trustees chose Provost Andrew Workman to serve as interim president. Farish worked in academia for 51 years and began leading the Bristol, R.I. university in 2011. He planned to retire in 2019. He was an active member of NEBHE’s Commission on Higher Education & Employability.

Susan Dunton announced she will step down as president of NHTI, Concord’s community college, in August after four years on the job.

Tufts University announced that James Stavridis will leave the deanship of its Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy after five years in August to pursue new opportunities in international finance and consulting. Professor of international law Ian Johnstone will serve as interim dean of the Fletcher School.

Babson College management professor Keith Rollag was named the Murata Dean of the Babson’s F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business.

Laura Perille, president and CEO of the Boston nonprofit EdVestors, was named interim superintendent of the Boston Public Schools, succeeding Tommy Chang, who held the post for three years.
