Optometry College’s First Diversity and Inclusion Liaison Among Key New Hires

Dr. Angela Abraham

Dr. Angela Abraham, a graduate of the University of Missouri-St. Louis School of Optometry and Smith College, was appointed to be the first-ever diversity and inclusion liaison for the New England College of Optometry (NECO), where she will work with the college’s new Alliance for the Advancement of Diversity and Inclusion.

Eboni S. Nelson, a former associate dean for academic affairs and professor at the University of South Carolina School of Law, began her work as the new dean of the University of Connecticut School of Law, succeeding former dean Timothy Fisher, who stepped down to join the faculty.

Lasell University named Chrystal Porter, a former associate provost and professor in sport science at Endicott College, to be the Newton, Mass. college’s vice president of graduate and professional studies and professor of sport management.

Clark University appointed Alan B. Eisner, who most recently served as associate dean for graduate programs at Pace University’s Lubin School of Business, to be dean of Clark’s School of Management, succeeding Priscilla Elsass, who served as dean since January 2019.

Berkshire Community College hired Andrea Wadsworth, recently acting superintendent at the Mount Greylock Regional School District, to be the Pittsfield, Mass. community college’s new vice president of administration and finance.
