Meotti to Head Washington State Achievement Group; Key Higher Ed Leaders Announce Plans to Retire

Michael Meotti, former commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Higher Education and executive vice president and chief operating officer of the Connecticut Board of Regents for Higher Education, was appointed executive director of the Washington Student Achievement Council, which coordinates the state’s higher education system with workforce and education needs.

Salem State University President Patricia Maguire Meservey announced she’ll retire in summer 2017 after a decade leading the Massachusetts public institution.

American Council on Education President Molly Corbett Broad announced she will retire in October after nine years leading the national college lobbying association. She previously shared her thoughts on attainment in NEJHE.
