Comings and Goings: Former Mass. Lt. Gov Among New Campus Presidents

Babson College named former Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey to be the first woman to lead the college, effective July 1. She succeeds Len Schlesinger, who announced in December that he would step down at the end of this academic year.

Richard Hopper, a higher education specialist with the World Bank, was appointed president of Kennebec Valley Community College, to start in April when Barbara Woodlee planned to leave after 30 years as president.

Three Rivers Community College President Grace Sawyer Jones will retire in June of this year.

Nick Carter announced he’ll retire in 2014 from leadership of Andover Newton Theological School, where he has been president since 20o4.

Quinnipiac University School of Law named the director of its Center on Dispute Resolution Jennifer Gerarda Brown to be the school’s new dean, effective in July.
