Mitchell College President Mary Ellen Jukoski announced she will end one of the longest runs among modern college presidencies on June 30, 2014, following the college’s 75th anniversary. Jukoski was appointed interim president in 1994 and chosen as Mitchell’s first female president a year later.
, dean of enrollment at Atlantic Cape Community College in New Jersey, was approved as the fourth president of North Shore Community College in a unanimous vote by the Massachusetts Board of Higher Education. She will take on the NSCC role on Jan. 1, 2014.
American Student Assistance named Bryan Spence to the newly created position of director of the Massachusetts SALT Alliance, the Boston-based nonprofit’s initiative to help people make decisions about financing their education and repaying student loans. Spence was a senior officer of corporate and foundation advancement at Northeastern University and director of philanthropic services at Edvestors.
