Castleton University President Dave Wolk announced that he will leave his post at the end of this year. A Rutland, Vt. native, Wolk served as a school principal, superintendent, Vermont’s commissioner of education, Vermont state senator and a NEBHE delegate. He wrote recently for NEJHE about Castleton’s polling center.
Megan Carpenter, founder and co-director of the Center for Law and Intellectual Property at Texas A&M University School of Law, was named dean of the University of New Hampshire School of Law, effective July 1. A nationally known expert in intellectual property with a focus on entrepreneurship and the arts, Carpenter will be the first woman to lead the school since its founding in 1973.
Former Smith College President Carol T. Christ was named chancellor of the University of California at Berkeley, effective July 1.
Regis appointed associate dean Laura M. Burke to be dean of the Weston, Mass.-based college’s School of Health Sciences.
