Brown to Exit Stage at Berklee College of Music

Berklee College of Music President Roger H. Brown announced he will leave the post he has held since 2004 on May 31, 2021. The third president in Berklee’s nearly 75-year history, Brown oversaw opening a campus in Valencia, Spain, the launch of the college’s first master’s programs, and the 2016 merger with the Boston Conservatory to create the Boston Conservatory at Berklee.

Nadia L. Ward was named director of the Mosakowski Institute for Public Enterprise at Clark University, working with Worcester Public Schools to advance research and services in behavioral health. Ward joined Clark from Yale University, where she was an associate professor in the department of psychiatry, deputy director of the doctoral internship training program in clinical and community psychology, and director of urban education and prevention research.

Massachusetts state Sen. Viriato deMacedo (R-Plymouth and Barnstable) announced he’ll resign from his seat to become director of regional partnerships at Bridgewater State University.

The MIT Sloan School of Management appointed former Federal Housing Administration Director Edward L. Golding to be executive director and senior lecturer at the MIT Golub Center for Finance and Policy.

Jill Bassett, former assistant dean of student affairs and retention at Franklin Pierce University, was appointed assistant dean of student affairs at Quinnipiac University.
