The Community College System of New Hampshire appointed Pelema I. Morrice to be president of Great Bay Community College, succeeding Wildolfo Arvelo, who left last fall to become New Hampshire’s director of economic development.
Health and nutrition scientist and Tufts University scholar Miriam E. Nelson was named the seventh president of Hampshire College, effective July 1. She succeeds Jonathan Lash, who is retiring after seven years as Hampshire president.
Lauren Louison Grogan, founder of the national public affairs practice at Solomon McCown & Company, was named the the first woman president of the 22-year-old Massachusetts Institute for a New Commonwealth (MassINC), the publisher of CommonWealth magazine. Previously, Grogan led the think tank CEOs for Cities.
Boston College named Wheaton College VP of enrollment and dean of admission Grant M. Gosselin to be its director of undergraduate admission, succeeding John L. Mahoney, who was named dean of undergraduate admission and financial aid in March.
