Economist Dynarski Heads to Harvard

Harvard Graduate School of Education announced that Susan Dynarski, currently professor of public policy, education and economics at the University of Michigan, will join the Harvard school as an education professor in July 2021.

Alan D. Solomont, the Pierre and Pamela Omidyar Dean of the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Civic Life at Tufts University, announced he will retire after seven years as dean at the end of this academic year.

Sacred Heart University’s Isabelle Farrington College of Education named Robin Hands, formerly director of school-university partnerships and associate clinical professor at the University of Connecticut’s Neag School of Education, to be the Fairfield, Conn.-based Sacred Heart’s new director of clinical practice.

Sandra L. Fenwick announced she will retire next year as CEO of Boston Children’s Hospital, after seven years as the first woman to lead the 151-year-old hospital.

Boston Architectural College named Heather Sullivan, former executive director of philanthropy at Merrimack College, to be the Boston school’s new vice president for institutional advancement

The Society for Industrial and Applied Mathematics appointed Worcester Polytechnic Institute math professor and interim Associate Dean of Undergraduate Studies Suzanne L. Weekes to be its executive director, succeeding James (Jim) Crowley who is retiring after 25 years leading the nonprofit organization that connects mathematical knowledge to other professionals.
