Drexel U Exec Named New Prez at University of New England

The University of New England named Drexel University Executive Vice Provost and Dean of the Graduate College James Herbert to be the Biddeford, Maine-based university’s next president, effective July 1. He will succeed Danielle Ripich, who has led the university for 11 years.

Saint Anselm College appointed Allegheny College Associate Provost for Diversity and Organizational Development Ande Diaz to be the New Hampshire college’s first chief diversity officer.

Fran Rabinowitz, who resigned as Bridgeport Public Schools superintendent reportedly over the state’s unwillingness to intervene in the low-performing district, was hired as executive director of the Connecticut Association of Public School Superintendents.

Houghton Mifflin Harcourt appointed Renaissance Learning CEO John (Jack) J. Lynch Jr. to be the company’s president and CEO.
