Former Maine Health and Human Services Commissioner Mary Mayhew, who served for six years under Gov. Paul LePage, helping reject efforts to expand the state’s Medicaid program and adding work requirements to the food stamp program, was named the national director of Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program.
