Recently the Connecticut legislature passed Public Act 21-2, which requires the Office of Higher Education to create a database of credentials offered in the state. This legislation is based on a larger effort in New England and nationally to create standardized descriptors of credentials and publish these credentials to Credential Engine. The New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE), the Office of Workforce Strategies (OWS), and the Office of Higher Education (OHE) have been working collectively to implement this initiative in Connecticut.
This webinar will explain this initiative to you and the requirements that accompany this legislation to all postsecondary occupational schools. There will be a short introductory demo of OHE’s Academic Affairs new database system that will be implemented later this year, as well as an opportunity to ask questions.
